Introducing Sierra Jamerson
A singing siren whose enchanting voice captivates audiences.
With a childhood shaped by touring in her family’s country gospel band, Sierra Jamerson’s musical path has always been one of soul, rhythm, and revelation. A genre-defying vocalist and commanding performer, her sound blends alternative soul, poetic pop, and jazz-rooted nuance—drawing comparisons to artists like Erykah Badu, Janelle Monáe, and Fiona Apple. Her voice moves fluidly through R&B, rock, and gospel traditions, delivering performances that are both technically masterful and emotionally arresting. She has shared stages with Mavis Staples, The Drifters, Madagascar Slim, and Josh Groban, and performed for Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in one of her earliest and proudest career moments.
Sierra is revered as “an open channel of musical expression of the highest order”—a channel that now moves beyond the stage and into sacred, embodied space. As the founder of Temple of Sound, she guides artists in reconnecting to their voices, rhythms, and bodies as sources of healing, creative freedom, and spiritual power. Her methodology blends somatic voicework, therapeutic rhythm, breath and nervous system practices, and inner child integration. Every element of her work has been lived, tested, and refined through personal transformation—making her not just a teacher, but a walking embodiment of what she offers.
An award-winning certified therapeutic drum circle facilitator, Sierra received the When African Women Talk Her Legacy Award for Arts in 2024. Her drum circles are immersive, ritual-infused spaces of nervous system repair, community restoration, and rhythmic liberation.
With nearly two decades of experience as a performer and educator, Sierra has taught thousands of artists, singers, and students of all ages and abilities. Her artist embodiment coaching fuses deep technical expertise with emotional fluency, supporting creatives in overcoming fear, perfectionism, and burnout while building embodied confidence and artistic sovereignty.
Sierra holds a diploma in Jazz and Contemporary Vocal Performance, a degree in Child and Youth Care, and additional training in psychology, gender studies, and spiritual healing modalities. Her work exists at the intersection of science and soul, performance and prayer.
Today, whether on stage or in sacred circle, Sierra creates transformational spaces where sound becomes a site of remembering. Through her voice, her presence, and her method, she invites others to reclaim their expression—not as performance, but as power.
